This article is focused on the resolution to the Fermi Paradox as postulated by Albert M Kannemeyer – AKA me. Those readers who need more information on the paradox itself should do an internet search on the topic. It is not constructive and original to just reiterate existing information available on the internet.
The Fermi Paradox exists because of an erroneous assumption attached to the definition of intelligent life. The error is the assumption that intelligent life will have what we call “advanced technologies” sooner or later. Just because humans have a general culture of wanting to do space travel, for example, does not mean that other intelligent beings will also have the same desire. Let me refer you to the Kogi of Columbia South America. These humans – humans thus intelligent life – have no desire for technologies, this is how they stay from generation to generation. They do not have writing, they are caretakers of nature. They do not wear shoes because it breaks the connection between them and mother Earth. They are peaceful and live over 90 years of age. They try and teach the world that destroying Earth with technologies and the desire for power is not smart, and not right. So who is the smart one now ? The non technological bare footers with the good hearts or the rest of the technologically advanced world ?
You get my point ? The erroneous assumption that intelligent beings should have advanced technologies and be detectable, either via radio waves, distant visible mega structures, or visitations to earth, is the cause of the Paradox. Remove those assumptions and the paradox is resolved.
On the other side of the spectrum, what humans consider advanced technologies might look like a complete joke to some ET’s who thinks our technologies is sheer low life stupidity. What about beings so advanced in what they can do, lets not call it a technology as we think of it, but so advanced that they can visit us completely undetected. Be all around us when they choose. Just a thought to ad to the resolution…
